Azalea lace bug (Stephantis pyroides) with delicate lace wings. S. pyroides is a destructive pest of azeleas, especially evergreen types. The adult female lays groups of eggs on the under side of the leaf near the main vein. The eggs are partially inserted into the leaf tissue. Injury to the plants is caused by nymphs and adults extracting sap from the leaves.
